The potters are an active and enthusiastic group within the art club, comprising a wide range of skills and abilities. This ranges from hand built to wheel thrown pots and we produce a variety of decorative as well as functional items, limited only by our imagination!
We make use of the art club’s studio for our creations as well as having our own kiln, stoneware clay and glazes. We are very fortunate to have such facilities.
Some pottery group members are also members of the "Anglian Potters" where we participate in Exhibitions and workshops, as well as being involved in local art and community projects.
The group meets all day on Mondays as well as having the opportunity to use the club’s facilities at other times. Our work forms part of the Art Club’s exhibitions and is available for purchase.
Items purchased may be taken immediately. We take cash or cheques but regret that we are unable to take card payments. There are several cash dispensing machines in Thoroughfare, a few minutes' walk away. The nearest is at HSBCbank. From the club, walk back to Quay Street (50 yards), turn right (50 yards), turn left up Brook Street, turn right for 20 yards on Thoroughfare. Items can be reserved against a small non-returnable deposit and collected later the same day or on a subsequent day when the exhibition is open.
